THE STORY OF
WHOLE LOTTA HAIR

WLH's founding members Torri McMullin, Rocco Ramos, Julia Stromberg, and Joaquin Olmos came together during their time studying at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.

Whole Lotta Hair was originally formed as a school project for a guitar class; however, they are now regularly playing shows around the greater Los Angeles area. Their very first performance as a group was on the Concert Hall stage at Musicians Institute during The Night Of The Living Guitars Show in September of 2022. Their song selections for this performance included “Since I’ve Been Loving You” by Led Zeppelin, “Children of the Grave” by Black Sabbath, and “Highway Star” by Deep Purple. The overwhelming success of this performance and more specifically the positive response to their Led Zeppelin cover is what led them to continue their school project and eventually create the

fully-fleshed cover band that is known today as Whole Lotta Hair.

Their official debut show in January of 2023 was a tremendous success with a set that featured over 20 classic rock songs. Some of the biggest hits of the night included “Barracuda” by Heart, “Bennie And The Jets” by Elton John, and “Moonage Daydream” by David Bowie. You can catch them live at Ocean View Bar & Grill in Montrose, California every month! With an updated repertoire comprised of over 140 songs, their current set lists feature crowd-favorites such as “Fly By Night” by Rush, “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac, and “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” by The Police.

As the end of 2023 approached, the band encountered a line-up change and welcomed Jake Johnson to the project.

Their great on-stage chemistry, high-level energy, and genuine passion for music is what makes them such a remarkable quartet. With Julia Stromberg on vocals and keys, Jake Johnson on guitar, Rocco Ramos on drums and backing vocals, and Torri McMullin on bass and backing vocals, this quartet makes sure to arrange their setlists in a manner that allows them to all shine individually, in addition to impressing and satisfying their audience.

WLH is constantly working on adding to and expanding their song repertoire to create the best live show experience for their audiences. Along with consistent gigs at various LA-based venues, they are also available to provide entertainment for private parties, events, and other occasions.
